Since 1916, The Princess Anne Country Club has provided a haven for members, their families and guests. As Virginia’s premier coastal private country club destination, exceptional hospitality and service is the norm, challenging and enjoyable recreational and fitness opportunities abound, excellence in formal and informal cuisine can be expected, and special events occur regularly for all age groups to anticipate and enjoy.
Facilities: Conveniently located one block from the ocean, The Princess Anne Country Club is the perfect home away from home to entertain your family, friends, or business acquaintances. Our wide variety of private dining rooms can accommodate two to two hundred guests, serving as the perfect setting for an intimate meal, business meeting, or private reception. Our catering staff stands ready to assist in planning and ensuring that our members and guests receive personal attention that is consistently captivating.
Dining: Dining is always a special occasion at The Princess Anne. We offer four separate dining venues within the main clubhouse, a lounge for men, a ladies’ lounge, and poolside dining at The Pavilion Grill. From formal to informal fare, only the finest and freshest ingredients are used to prepare savory delicacies by our internationally recognized Chefs. Casual fare and special themed dining evenings are also featured regularly.
Golf: The Princess Anne golf course, long considered to be one of the Region’s most beautiful and challenging par 71 tracts, meanders through scenic neighborhoods lined by lush pines and crosses several inlets and lakes. A putting green and practice facility is open daily and excellent course conditions are maintained year-round. Caddy services are available, pull carts can be used for those that prefer walking, and PGA certified professionals are available for private or group instruction.
Tennis: Our tennis facilities were constructed to accommodate every playing style. We have a total of 12 courts (8 outdoor and 4 indoor), offering a choice of recreational and competitive play on Fast Dry Clay or Deco Turf surfaces. The indoor pavilion features a viewing deck for spectators. Top of the line equipment and apparel is available at the Pro Shop. Contact our USPTA certified professional staff for private and group lessons.
Fitness: The state of the art Lifestyles Center opened in January, 2000. Here members and guests can enjoy personal fitness training and take Pilates, yoga or aerobics classes. Aqua Aerobics are available, weather permitting, as well as other specialized fitness activities. Equipment includes cardio machines, free weights and select resistance machines. The Center is open every day of the week in order that workouts can be conveniently planned. In addition, the Best Body Company offers body massage and day spa services by appointment.
Pool: Our summertime hub of activity, the pool features fun in the sun for kids of all ages. The aquatics complex features an Olympic size championship heated swimming pool. Swim and Dive teams provide workout and fun-based team competition for our children. Sunbathers will find plenty of room to lounge around the pool or be protected by the shade of umbrellas. An early bird workout for adults begins at 5:30 a.m. in the summer. Private and group swimming lessons are available. Feel free to dine poolside or enjoy the coolness of indoor dining at the Pavilion Grill. Dive-in movie nights and pool cookouts are anxiously awaited family activities for relaxing warm summer nights.
Expect the Extraordinary: There is always something special awaiting members and guests at The Princess Anne. Be it a formal wine dinner, a festive Luau, Independence Day fireworks, a Murder Mystery Dinner or breakfast with the Easter bunny – everyone has something to look forward to year-round. New and exciting events are continuously planned for the enjoyment of all age groups.
We Cherish Our Children: On-site childcare is available during the week from 9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. by reservation only at reasonable prices. In addition, movie nights are held on Friday nights for children two and older while parents enjoy quiet time to themselves. At PACC Summer Camp, children ages 4-8 can learn new skills in a non-competitive, fun, learning-oriented environment. Technical sporting skills are improved through our Junior Golf Program and Kids Tennis Camp. Swimmers and divers of all ages and abilities flourish on the Breaker Swim and Dive Teams which won the 2002 Division Swim Championship!
